I worked with faculty members in leadership in program and did not feel the touch of mentoring and sometime even teaching. Dr. Nooruddin mentored me in different projects including lung cancer and liver cancer, last year I won the merit award of ASCO meeting 2022 for poster presentation and was coauthor in submitting 2 manuscripts for publication, this year she helped me to be Co- PI for liver cancer project (since fellow cannot be PI) and let me manage all the paperwork and IRB and submitted 6 abstracts and won merit award ASCO 2023, she also helped medicine residents to be part of projects and submit abstracts as first authors and go to ASH, or ASCO to present, education wise, she is an excellent hematologist and go up and beyond all obstacles to deliver excellent care to patients and advocate for patients in every way possible, she always has open door, and the &#8220;go-to&#8221; for most things, very resourceful and committed to education and mentoring, I will miss Dr. Nooruddin as am graduating in July this year.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"button carat-double\" href=\"https:\/\/directory.uthscsa.edu\/academics\/profile\/nooruddinz\">Dr. Nooruddin&#8217;s Faculty Profile<\/a>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1639072901938{background-color: #f7f4f0 !important;}&#8221;][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1685980525793{background-color: #f7f4f0 !important;}&#8221;] Zohra Nooruddin, MD Associate Professor Department of Medicine Division of Hematology &amp; Oncology Nomination Submission: Dr. Nooruddin is excellent mentor for clinical duties and academic research.
