FAQ: Applying

Q:  When do you hold your interviews?
A:  Interviews are typically held in August-October for Cardiovascular Disease and December-January for Interventional Cardiology. Invitations are issued on a rolling basis. We limit the number of applicants on any given day to assure you a more personal view of our training program. This information is reviewed by our fellowship application committee and invitations are extended as early as possible via email.

Q:  Do you have USMLE score minimums?
A:  Our fellows have averaged scores of 236-245, but we do not have an absolute cutoff. Applicants who have previous failures on the USMLE are generally less likely to be accepted to our programs.

Q:  Do you require U.S. Clinical Experience?
A:  While U.S. clinical experience is not an absolute requirement, it is highly encouraged.
