Courtney Adamski, MSN, RN, NP-C
Professional Nurse Practitioner
My name is Courtney Adamski and I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I moved to Texas from New York for this amazing opportunity and wanted to be a nurse practitioner since becoming a nurse. I graduated in 2006 with my associates and started working as a nurse in a small community hospital where I worked as a nursing assistant for two years while I attended nursing school. I worked in the community hospital for two more years on a telemetry/medical unit and then decided to broaden my horizons and move to a level one trauma center known as Stony Brook Medicine. At this hospital, I worked as a bedside nurse from 2008 to 2016 in the Cardiothoracic ICU. I had a tremendous opportunity to care for post-operative patients including TAVR, LVADs and ECMO, along with other heart procedures. Additionally, I received my bachelor’s degree and masters while working at Stony Brook. In 2016, I took a position as a Clinical Nurse Specialist for Cardiac surgery and cardiology. Once I sat for my boards and passed, I knew I wanted to take on a new adventure but remain at the heart of all cardiology.
My goal is to thrive while taking in everyone’s expertise as I navigate my new home here at UTH San Antonio. I look forward to meeting the entire team.
