Grace Hughes, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC
General Cardiology Specialist
My name is Grace Hughes and I am a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. I was born in Chicago, Illinois, but spent time in Wisconsin, Colorado, and Illinois throughout my childhood. I received my Bachelor of Science with a major in Nursing from North Park University in Chicago in 2010 and spent the beginning of my nursing career at Rush University Medical Center providing inpatient care, before moving to my husband’s hometown of San Antonio, Texas in 2012 where I continued to work as an inpatient Registered Nurse. I graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center with my Master of Science in Nursing in 2015, and have since had the opportunity to work in both Pediatric Ear, Nose, and Throat and Retail Health settings as a nurse practitioner. I am credentialed as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center, and have been a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing since 2015. My passion for nursing is fueled by my desire to empower patients to live healthy and fulfilling lives. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter traveling, running, and being outdoors.
