Our role is to ensure that your voices are heard, the work is equitable, and that there\u2019s a little bit of fun! We hope you strongly consider our program when you are deciding where to apply. We would love to show you our campus, have you meet our great fellows and faculty, and get the chance to know how you would fit well into our program!<\/p>\n<p>Things you should consider when deciding on where you will complete your Fellowship:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Find a well-rounded program that would provide you with excellent training, diverse pathology, and a learning environment that fits your interests.<\/li>\n<li>The location of the program should be somewhere that you and your family will enjoy living and where you can find ways to have fun outside of work. He graduated from Wright State Boonshoft School of Medicine in 2011. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency (2014), Chief Resident (2015), and Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship (2018) at UT Health San Antonio. Upon graduation, he joined the ranks of Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Disease Clinical Faculty at UT Health San Antonio and was promoted to Associate Program Director. He is now serving as Interim Chief for the Janey &amp; Dolph Briscoe Division of Cardiology and Program Director for the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1924 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/lsom.uthscsa.edu\/cardiology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/30\/2025\/04\/yangericmd-286x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"196\" height=\"252\" \/>Eric Y. Yang, M.D., PhD<br \/>\nAssocoiate Program Director, Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship<\/h4>\n<p>Dr. Yang attended the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University and subsequently completed residency training in Internal Medicine through the Medical Resident Investigator Track at the Baylor College of Medicine. During his IM residency, he also completed a doctoral degree in Clinical Investigation through the Clinical Scientist Training Program. He then went on to complete clinical fellowships in Cardiovascular Diseases at the Baylor College of Medicine and in Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging at Houston Methodist before joining the Houston Methodist cardiovascular imaging faculty. He moved over to UT Health San Antonio to help develop the cardiovascular CT\/MR program at both UT Health and at the University Health System. He has also joined the South Texas Veterans Health Care System as an advanced cardiovascular imager. His research areas of interests include cardiovascular CT\/MRI, valvular heart disease, cardiac remodeling and recovery, and cardiovascular risk assessment and prevention<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-922\" src=\"https:\/\/lsom.uthscsa.edu\/cardiology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/30\/2020\/06\/Anand-Prasad_Small-214x300.jpg\" alt=\"Dr. Anand Prasad\" width=\"193\" height=\"248\" \/>Anand Prasad, M.D., FACC, FSCAI, RPVI<br \/>\nProgram Director, Interventional Cardiology Fellowship<\/h4>\n<p>Dr. Prasad graduated from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans in 2000. He completed Internal Medicine and Cardiology training at the University of Texas Southwestern at Dallas. Subsequently, he completed an Interventional Cardiology and an Endovascular Fellowship at the University of California, San Diego. He then joined the faculty at UC San Diego, and after three years, moved back to Texas to join the faculty at UT Health Science Center at San Antonio as an Assistant Clinical Professor. He is currently a Professor of Medicine and holds the Freeman Heart Association Endowment in Cardiovascular Disease. He also is the Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at University Health System. Dr. Chilton received his Bachelor of Science degree from Philips University, Enid, Ok, and his DO from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, Des Moines, IA. He completed his internship at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, OH; his residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center, Oklahoma City, OK; and a Cardiology Fellowship at the Wilford Hall US Air Force Medical Center, San Antonio, TX. Dr. Chilton is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and electrophysiology.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-1894 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/lsom.uthscsa.edu\/cardiology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/30\/2025\/04\/Lilly-Alyssa-Cardiology-PC-headshot-2025-300x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"196\" height=\"241\" \/> Alyssa Lilly, MS<br \/>\nFellowship Program Coordinator<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Lilly earned a Bachelor&#8217;s in Biology (2019) from Texas A&amp;M University-San Antonio. She then completed an MS in Nonprofit Management (2021) from Our Lady of the Lake University, also in San Antonio.
