In San Antonio and the surrounding region, you will find us masters of the profession. Our team is the only one like it in the region–a multispecialty academic practice providing outstanding care for cardiothoracic conditions from birth to late adulthood.<\/p>\n

We consistently have outcomes that are unsurpassed in the region. Our team frequently treats complex patients that others would not. This work is rewarding and humbly keeps us striving to excel.<\/p>\n

We love what we do and enjoy caring for all patients from the most incredibly complex to those with the \u201csimplest\u201d of chest wall, heart, lung or esophageal conditions.<\/p>\n

Our congenital heart program was the first in the region. We have done some incredibly complex repairs, doing the very first neonatal Ross procedure in the United States. Our mitral valve repair program was the first in this region as well and has an outstanding track record of success. Our lung transplant program was the second in the US and has now done over 650 transplants starting over thirty years ago.<\/p>\n

You may hear some say that \u201clearners\u201d are involved with your care in our program. It should be pointed out that some of the finest physicians and providers in our community received their education at the University of Texas at San Antonio UT San Antonio. We are committed to treating all patients as if they were our loved ones. Each member of our team approaches patient care in the way they wish it would be done for themselves.<\/p>\n
