Welcome from the Residency Program Director<\/h2>\n

\"\"UT Health San Antonio Dermatology Residency Program is a medium sized balanced program focused on clinical training in medical, procedural, and cutaneous surgery. Our goal is to produce a well-rounded dermatologist with the requisite expertise to manage any dermatologic condition medically or surgically in both adults and children.<\/p>\n

What I feel is unique about our program is that we provide our training in what both residents and faculty feel is a supportive \u201cfamily type\u201d environment. Our focus is to promote learning, while fostering wellness and continuous improvement. Staff are passionate and fully engaged in the mission of teaching.<\/p>\n

We provide training in a variety of settings with diverse patient clinical, procedural and surgical experiences. This occurs in an academic clinic setting (UT Medicine), VA clinic and hospital, and in serving a diverse population of patients at our University Hospital.<\/p>\n

The program is supplemented with subspecialty training in pediatric dermatology, procedural training with our Mohs surgeons, aesthetic and laser training, and a full-time inpatient consultation rotation.<\/p>\n

We seek residents who work well with others and contribute to a sense of teamwork, service before self, and a passion for learning dermatology. Both the program and potential applicants seek our program because of the close relationship of the residents with each other as well as with the teaching faculty.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/3″]
