Women in Medicine

September is Women in Medicine Month (WIMM), an annual celebration recognized by the American Medical Association highlighting the contributions of women physicians since 1990. The Long School of Medicine is home to countless outstanding women in medicine and science – physicians, teachers, researchers, mentors and more in both our basic and clinical departments. The Office for Inclusion and Diversity has acknowledged WIMM since 2018. Based on nominations submitted by faculty, trainees, and students this year, we are proud to highlight 21 who are changing the face of health, medicine, and science.
