This fellowship takes between 18 to 24 months to complete based on the program of study the fellow pursues. Some flexibility exists in the curriculum and focus of this fellowship.<\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_class=”no-indent”]<\/p>\n

Fellowship Requirements<\/h2>\n

US\/GH fellows will complete the following program components and requirements.<\/p>\n

\n
• All combined US\/GH fellows will be required to work an average of eight shifts per month in the Emergency Department at University Hospital serving as teaching faculty. This allows plenty of flexibility and the option to move shifts around in order to accommodate longer trips abroad.<\/li>\n
• US\/GH fellows will attend weekly ultrasound didactics and image review (every Friday).<\/li>\n
• US\/GH fellows will teach rotating medical students and interns both in a lecture setting and bedside in the Emergency Department.<\/li>\n
• US\/GH fellows will give four grand rounds lectures on ultrasound specific topics.<\/li>\n
• The US\/GH fellow will also be required to obtain a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene from an institution of their choosing.<\/li>\n
• The US\/GH fellow will have the option to attend other courses and take various global health trips throughout their fellowship.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
