University Hospital System (UHS) State-of-the art teaching hospital (700 beds), all single rooms; Fellows will rotate with the UHS Endocrinology Consult Service. Fellows are exposed to a wide array of endocrine disorders.

Audie L. Murphy Memorial VA Hospital – a 517-bed hospital contiguous with University Hospital and the UT Health San Antonio campus. It serves 250,000 veterans in 43 counties of South Texas. Fellows rotate at the VA’s Inpatient Endocrine Consult Service. The VA is also home the VA Endocrine/Diabetes Ambulatory Clinic. The VA clinic is for the treatment and education of veteran patients with issues related to: general endocrinology, diabetes, and thyroid. This clinic also services transgender patients.

UT Health Medical Arts & Research Center (MARC) is home to more than 200 UT Health physicians and 30 different practices in one convenient location. The Osteoporosis and Metabolic Bone Disease Clinic, Diabetes Clinic, Reproductive Endocrinology and Thyroid Clinic are located here.

University Health System: Texas Diabetes Institute (TDI) of the University Center for Community Health. TDI is the outpatient/ambulatory care facility for the Bexar County Hospital District. The TDI was established for the treatment and education of patients with diabetes mellitus and for diabetes research. One of our general endocrinology clinics is located at the TDI.
