Three of our residents: Adriana Saenz, MD, PGY3, Wendy Lin, MD, PGY2 and Eva Vosta, MD, PGY3; mentored by Dr. Marcy Wiemers, MD, Assistant Professor/Clinical, will present three of the 2018 Patient Oriented Evidence that Matters (POEMs) studies that where published in the American Family Physician Journal. These POEMs cover the following important topics:
- “Non-Opioids Equivalent to Opioids for Severe Chronic Back, Hip, or Knee Pain with Fewer Adverse Outcomes”
- “Ibuprofen + Acetaminophen Equals Opioid + Acetaminophen for Acute Severe Extremity Pain”
- “Gabapentin and Pregabalin Not Effective for Low Back Pain With or Without Radiculopathy”
