This talk will begin by describing the typical presentation of anxiety disorders in children and adolescents and how this differs from “normal” anxiety. The presentation will then briefly review the most common anxiety disorders of childhood and their key features. Parenting styles associated with pediatric anxiety disorders will be discussed and finally, related parenting interventions for primary care providers will be provided.
