Overview:

Feedback in healthcare is an essential skill that impacts both clinicians and patients.  Being able to provide efficient and effective feedback is critical.  In this presentation Dr. Cristian Fernandez Falcon will review “Thanks for the Feedback (2014)” as a communication skills book that focuses on the art and science of feedback.  Specifically, he will look at how you can give feedback, how you can take feedback and how you can make the most of it.

Objectives:

  1.   Define feedback.
  2.   Explore and apply instruction on how to give feedback.
  3.   Explore and apply instruction on how to take feedback.
  4.   Summarize book’s approach to feedback skill development.
