{"id":4587,"date":"2022-04-26T12:44:13","date_gmt":"2022-04-26T17:44:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lsom.uthscsa.edu\/family-medicine\/?page_id=4587"},"modified":"2026-01-07T09:24:32","modified_gmt":"2026-01-07T15:24:32","slug":"senior-scholarships","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/lsom.uthscsa.edu\/family-medicine\/education\/medical-student-education-2\/senior-scholarships\/","title":{"rendered":"Senior Scholarships"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Each spring, the Department of Family and Community Medicine presents several scholarships to graduating students and during the Long School of Medicine\u2019s Annual Senior Awards Dinner.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong>Eligible recipients must:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Currently be in their MS4 year,<\/li>\n<li>Secure a position in a Family Medicine residency in the initial Match of the current year, and<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate financial need with the Financial Aid Office by having submitted a FAFSA and Scholarship Application.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligible students are encouraged to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><em>apply for more than one<\/em><\/span> scholarship.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Review the scholarship information below and for each submission, please include all of the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify the scholarship(s) for which you wish to apply<\/li>\n<li>Submit a one-page narrative describing your unique qualifications for each scholarship<\/li>\n<li>Submit your <em>curriculum vitae<\/em> (CV) &#8211;
