However, many individuals will not receive adequate care due to a history of microaggressions, lack of gender affirming access and other factors creating disparities to care. In this presentation, we will discuss how language impacts the medical care gender diverse individuals experience and how we, as individuals and institutions, can purposefully create environments of inclusivity. We will review unique elements of obstetrical care for transgender, intersex and nonbinary individuals and their families.
