Among non-older adults, except for long-term reductions in myocardial infarction and mortality with metformin, using medications to achieve glycated hemoglobin levels of less than 6 % is associated with harm, including higher mortality rates. Identify diabetes and cardiovascular risks and why it matters to physicians and patients.\u200b<\/p>\n<p>2. Review the article: &#8220;Effects of Long-term Metformin and Lifestyle Interventions on Cardiovascular Events in the Diabetes Prevention Program and Its Outcome Study.&#8221; and 3.
