Personal Statement:

What are your clinical interests?

  • I am interested in a career in academic gastroenterology. Would like to focus on GERD, Large Polypectomy and IBD.

What are your most recent Awards or Accomplishments?

  • My recent project on systematic review of timing of tube feed initiation after PEG Tube placement got accepted as an Oral Presentation at the ACG national conference October 2022.

What are your hobbies and favorite activities outside of medicine?

  • I like to spend time with my family and play badminton.

What is the best thing about San Antonio?

  • Me and my family love San Antonio. I have 2 kids and San Antonio is a great place to raise a family. There is lots of family attractions such as Sea World San Antonio, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, and Santikos Theaters.

Why would you recommend the UTHSA GI fellowship?

  • It is one of my best decisions to rank UTHSCSA GI program as my top program during the match process. The program provides excellent training for the fellows. It has a strong clinical focus with excellent support for academic work and research. We have exposure to diversified patient population. The big plus for the program is the support and supervision we get from the faculty. Program leadership goes above and beyond to ensure fellow wellbeing.
