Fellowship focuses on preparing the next generation of geriatricians to be leaders in academic and clinical venues.<\/h3>\n<h4>The one-year fellowship offers training to those interested in increasing their competence in:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Managing the 5Ms of Geriatrics: Mind, Mobility, Medications, Multicomplexity, and Matters Most<\/li>\n<li>Primary and consultative care for older adults<\/li>\n<li>Care of older adults across multiple clinical settings<\/li>\n<li>Clinical teaching and curriculum development<\/li>\n<li>Research and quality improvement in the older adult Fellowship Program Aims:<\/h4>\n<p>To prepare fellows with the professional behaviors, attitudes, knowledge, and skills necessary to be competent and compassionate geriatricians<\/p>\n<p>To expose fellows to opportunities preparing them to become clinical and academic leaders who employ strategies for life-long learning<\/p>\n<p>To prepare our trainees to practice team-based care in health permanent residents of the U.S., or have a J-1 Visa<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applications for the UT Health San Antonio Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program are submitted through the <a href=\"https:\/\/students-residents.aamc.org\/training-residency-fellowship\/applying-fellowships-eras\/\">Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS)<\/a> . Based on preliminary review of complete applications, interviews will be offered to selected applicants.
