Each of them helped establish the foundation of trust and confidence that carried me through my treatment journey at UT.&#8221;<br \/>\n&#8220;&#8221;My husband was a patient in your hospital in April for 8 days for ramp-up immunotherapy treatment for multiple myeloma. He received excellent care then. A recent severe allergic reaction landed him in the hospital again. His case is a bit more complicated and puzzling because of treatment,\u00a0 I am an author and a purveyor of words, however, I find myself at a loss to describe the excellent care he received during this visit. Dr. Bill Mallott was his hospitalist extraordinaire. He was dogged to find the source of the reaction and compassionate in his care of my husband. He asked the right questions, listened to the answers we gave, used his own knowledge-base and then used experience to come up with the answer. Then an in-hospital dose of the medicine proved him right. And I&#8217;m so grateful that Bill was in the hospital to receive immediate care. As far as the Nichols family is concerned, this hospital is the crown-jewel of hospitals in the area. We&#8217;ve been in a number of them.
