This position holds the rank of Assistant Professor\/Clinical, Associate Professor\/Clinical or Professor\/Clinical dependent on the applicant\u2019s level of experience.<\/p>\n<p>This position involves clinical work on housestaff and non-housestaff services at University Hospital. All faculty are involved in the education of students and housestaff. Teaching responsibilities will include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Education of residents, interns, and students<\/li>\n<li>Oversight of their delivery of direct patient care<\/li>\n<li>Review of performance of these learners<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You will also take part in other student and resident educational activities beyond working on teaching teams. Some of the activities you can choose to take part in include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Serve as a Longitudinal Preceptor for medical students<\/li>\n<li>Participate in medical student or resident electives, including mentoring 1 on 1 electives<\/li>\n<li>Participate in student or resident conferences (bootcamp, physical exam rounds, clerkship conferences, sub-intern morning report, resident journal club, resident morning report, resident conferences)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Qualified candidates must have a MD or DO degree, have completed 3 years of an ACGME-certified Internal Medicine residency and be board-eligible or board-certified in Internal Medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). These positions will hold an appointment of Specialist.<\/p>\n<p>These positions involve hourly clinical work on house staff and non-house staff services at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universityhealth.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University Hospital<\/a>, as well as participating in medical student education when covering teaching teams.
