UT Health San Antonio (http://uthscsa.edu/) consists of six schools: Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine (https://www.uthscsa.edu/academics/medicine/), Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, Dental School, School of Nursing, Public Health and School of Health Professions.  It is a highly integrated and translational research community, which also includes the Cancer Therapy and Research Center (CTRC), a NCI Designated Cancer Center, the Institute for Integration of Medicine and Science (IIMS) funded by a NIH CTSA, the South Texas Research Facility (STRF), The Texas Biomedical Research Institute (TBRI), the Greehey Children Cancer Research Center Institute (GCCRCI), the Barshop Institute for Longevity and Aging Studies, in addition to multiple hospitals, including the University Hospital and the Audie L. Murphy VA Hospital, and other clinical facilities.

San Antonio is a multicultural city that captures the history and spirit of Texas. Now the seventh largest city in the United States, its location at the foot of the beautiful Texas Hill Country, cost of living, climate, and diverse restaurants, parks, museums, sports teams, and of course the River Walk, make San Antonio one of the most attractive and livable cities in the country. It is a city that has retained its sense of community, while conscientiously incorporating 21st century progressiveness.  UT Health San Antonio is located northwest of downtown San Antonio, gateway to the scenic Texas Hill Country, with many recreational options. San Antonio also has a low cost of living and an excellent public school system.

The UT Health San Antonio, located in the northern suburbs of the city, and one of the 15 components in The University of Texas System, has established itself as a premier educational and research institution and one of the guiding lights leading San Antonio to its future.
