Personal Statement:

The research in my lab is focused on the following aspects:

Developing computational and genomics approaches for the identification of genomic regulatory elements (networks) at one-dimensional (1D) and three-dimensional (3D) manners, and epigenetic-regulated splicing variants from cancer epi-/genomic and transcriptomic data generated from the cutting-edge next generation sequencing (NGS) technologies (omics-seq) such as strand-specific pair-end ChIP-exo (ChIP-ePENS), ChIP-seq, MBDCap-seq, TCC (Hi-C), DRIP-seq, RNA-seq and miRNA-seq;
Functionally and mechanistically characterizing the computational predictions and providing the meaningful biological interpretations using novel techniques such as siRNA, 3C/ChIP/RT-qPCR, Western Blotting, 3D-FISH and CRISPR/Cas9;
Developing computational pipelines to aid molecular biomarker discovery and examining the significance of identified gene signatures in patients survival and prognostic information. We are working on various cancer models such as breast, prostate, pancreatic cancers, and leukemia.
