At Powell Elementary School, the Lab RATS\u00a0did strawberry DNA extractions and made nucleotide bracelets in the school gym for students in third, fourth, and fifth grade. Last week, the Lab RATS participated in the Chumbley Elementary STEM Night and guided students and their families in examining microbes using microscopes and performed a science experiment using sugar, water, and yeast to blow up a balloon.
