The Neurology Department is dedicated to providing excellent education for medical students, residents, fellows and the community.<\/p>\n

Our medical student education begins with teaching neurologic examination skills to first-and-second year medical students through basic and advanced neurology labs.  In the MS2 year, our department oversees the Mind, Brain, and Behavior Module, a 9-week course that integrates basic neuroscience, neurology and psychiatry.  Our Neurology clerkship is required for all medical students.  This 4-week rotation allows students to experience the spectrum of neurology diseases in the clinic, inpatient and ICU settings.  We provide students with a variety of MS4 elective options, including inpatient and outpatient selectives, special topic electives, and the David Sherman longitudinal education elective.<\/p>\n

The mission of the Neurology Residency Training Program is to create well-rounded neurologists who can excel in any clinical or practice setting whether in academics or private practice.  To assist in resident development, we offer a variety of optional training tracts that residents may choose based on their interests.<\/p>\n

We provide fellowship training options in Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry, Clinical Neurophysiology, Epilepsy, Movement Disorders, Neuroimmunology, Neuropsychology, and Vascular Disorders.<\/p>\n

We also help support the Neurocritical Care and CNS Endovascular fellowship, run by our Neurosurgery Department.<\/p>\n
