If there are any questions regarding this in the application process, inquiries should be made directly to the Texas Medical Board. Our fellowship program participates in the National Resident Matching Program and the Electronic Residency Application System. Only applications submitted through the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS) will be considered (Program name: University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio Joe and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology). Candidates are selected on the basis of their application, transcript, letters of recommendation, and interviews.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The fellowship program begins on August 1st each year.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The following items must be received through the ERAS system (accessible at your Dean\u2019s office, or for foreign medical graduates through the ECFMG) by April 6, 2026 in order for your application process to be complete:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Completed ERAS Application<\/li>\n<li>Curriculum Vitae<\/li>\n<li>Medical Student Performance Evaluation (\u201cDean\u2019s Letter\u201d)<\/li>\n<li>Medical School Transcript<\/li>\n<li>Three letters of recommendation (1 must be from OB\/GYN Residency program director and 1 from OB\/GYN Department Chair)<\/li>\n<li>USMLE score transcript (if osteopathic candidate, COMLEX score transcript)<\/li>\n<li>CREOG Scores &#8211;\u00a0please email to\u00a0gutierrezp4@uthscsa.edu<\/li>\n<li>Personal Statement<\/li>\n<li>Photograph<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applicants who are judged to be competitive after review of their credentials will be invited for interview. Initial notifications for interview will be sent by May 11, 2026 in accordance with the SGO recommended guidelines for the 2026 interview season. With the continued impact of the COVID-19 pandemic impact on travel and social distancing practices, we will continue virtual interviews this year.<\/p>\n<p>Planned interview dates for 2026
