Our department achieves this mission by continuously striving to:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Encourage faculty, employees, residents and medical students to strive for excellence<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Enable medical students to become knowledgeable about the physiology and pathophysiology of reproduction and meet the health care needs of women<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Conduct postgraduate medical education leading to board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology and subspecialties of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Develop members of the next generation of leaders of academic obstetrics and gynecology<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Conduct research leading to advances in the health care of women<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Deliver excellent medical care to the women of San Antonio and South Texas<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participate in the continuing medical education of family physicians and obstetrician-gynecologists<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]The mission of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is to serve the needs of the University of Texas at San Antonio, UT San Antonio and the citizens of Texas.
