Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility Assistant\/Associate Professor<\/h2>\n

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Texas at San Antonio, UT San Antonio, is seeking a board certified\/active candidate Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility clinician scientist to join the established REI practice and Division in the Joe R and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, active clinician-scientist with strong leadership qualities, communication and team-building skills.<\/span><\/p>\n

Candidates must have completed an accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology residency in a University Program and an accredited Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Duties will include the clinical care of infertile couples, teaching of residents and fellows, and the ability to carry out independent laboratory research in Reproductive Biology. Rank and tenure will be determined by experience and curriculum vitae.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of Texas at San Antonio, UT San Antonio is an internationally recognized academic center in women’s health and related research. The department currently holds 4 endowed chairs and is staffed by 33 clinicians\/researchers, 5 midwives and trains 24 residents and currently has two accredited fellowships.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility has been an ABOG-approved fellowship since 1977, has had research efforts funded by the NIH, and has been a full-service clinical operation, including an IVF program with clinical pregnancy rates that are above or on par with national rates. The University of Texas at San Antonio, UT San Antonio, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Division currently consists of three board-certified reproductive endocrinologists, one PhD, an experienced staff, fellows and trainees, and a full-service high-complexity assisted reproductive technology laboratory.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our state-of-the-art facilities in San Antonio, Texas, include embryology, andrology, and endocrinology laboratories, procedure suites, ultrasound suites, EPIC electronic medical record, as well as multiple satellite facilities. The successful candidate will be a key team member in the development of patient-centered care initiatives that will encompass all aspects of fertility care within the institution and span all points of patient contact.<\/span><\/p>\n

Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist or MFM\/Genetics Specialist<\/h2>\n

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine is seeking a Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) or MFM\/Genetics Specialist. The MFM Division provides comprehensive obstetrical care, perinatal consultations and outreach, genetic counseling, and prenatal diagnosis for San Antonio and our primary referral basis of South Texas. We have a fully accredited MFM fellowship dedicated to educating the next generation of academic MFM physicians. This position provides an excellent opportunity for new clinical and basic research, as well as the development of new clinical care programs.<\/span><\/p>\n

Responsibilities include care of inpatient and outpatient obstetric patients; education of medical students, residents, and fellows; and participation in the Division’s research mission.<\/span><\/p>\n

The successful candidate must be Board-eligible or Board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Maternal-Fetal Medicine or Maternal-Fetal Medicine\/Genetics, have qualifications for a Texas Medical License and be dedicated to academic medicine with a commitment to clinical service, education and\/or research. Successful applicants will also have excellent communication, administrative, and leadership skills. Academic rank and salary will be based on experience, qualifications and academic accomplishments.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gynecology \u2013 PA\/Advance Practice Nurse<\/h2>\n

We are seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse\/Physician’s Assistant for the Gynecology Service in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at University of Texas at San Antonio, UT San Antonio. The Gynecology Specialty (GYN\/Oncology, Urogynecology, Benign Gyn) medical teams provide inpatient and outpatient services to San Antonio and the South Texas region. This faculty associate position would join the MD\/DOs Board Certified in OB\/GYN and other gynecologic specialties, as well as our team of advanced practice nurses.<\/span><\/p>\n

The components of this position will include care of outpatient gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, and benign gynecologic patients at the University of Texas at San Antonio, UT San Antonio-managed practice sites. The successful candidate may be asked to provide surgical assistance to our physicians. This position will provide inpatient and ambulatory care and assist with research protocols.<\/span><\/p>\n

The successful candidate must meet the qualifications for Texas APN licensure and be available to work full-time. Experience in women\u2019s health is desirable. We have a multicultural patient population, and the ability to speak Spanish is helpful.<\/span><\/p>\n

Specialist-Certified Nurse Midwife<\/h2>\n

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at the University of Texas at San Antonio, UT San Antonio is accepting applications for a full-time Certified Nurse-Midwife position to work with 3 other midwives. The successful candidate will provide patient care and teaching while working with medical students, residents and attending physicians in the clinic and in Labor and Delivery at University Hospital. This position is for day and night shifts, currently available. We have a multicultural patient population, and the ability to speak Spanish is helpful. San Antonio is on the edge of the Texas Hill Country, where the climate is ideal, the cost of living is reasonable, and the housing is very affordable.<\/span><\/p>\n
