*Participants are welcome to attend either the morning Resident Research & Seitchik Memorial Lecture Presentations session, the afternoon Nasta Symposium session, or both. Registration is free for all attendees. Continuing Medical Education for the afternoon session will be provided at no cost to participants.<\/p>\n


\nAbout the Event<\/strong><\/em>
\nResident Research Day kicks off our event, showcasing PGY-3 residents completed research projects and PGY-1 residents proposed research projects. Our invited Resident Research Day speaker this year will be Dr. Mark Hornstein, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Harvard Medical School, who will be presenting “Lifestyle and IVF Outcomes.”\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Following Resident Research Day, enjoy an on-site luncheon and visit our “Journey to Innovation” exhibition. Visit with each of our exhibitors to enter a raffle for a chance to win UT Health San Antonio swag!<\/p>\n

Our afternoon will conclude with a fantastic Continuing Medical Education session, the Nasta Symposium on Gynecologic Innovation, supported by a generous donation from Dr. Armando Nasta\u2019s family. Our keynote session is comprised of three, 50 minute presentations entitled: Putting Menopause on Pause and Regaining Quality of Life <\/strong>presented by Rochelle David, MD; vNOTES: Can a New Technique Save a Traditional Approach <\/strong>presented by\u00a0Anne Porter, MD; and Diagnosis and Management of Vulvar Dermatoses <\/strong>presented by Sarah Page-Ramsey. Mark D. Hornstein, MD, is Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts.\u00a0 He holds the Kosasa Family Distinguished Chair in Obstetrics and Gynecology.\u00a0 He is also Director of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Brigham and Women\u2019s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.\u00a0 Dr. Hornstein received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati in Ohio.\u00a0 Subsequently he completed an internship and a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Brigham and Women\u2019s Hospital\/Massachusetts General Hospital Integrated Residency Program, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School, where he served as Administrative Chief Resident.\u00a0 His training also included a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Brigham and Women\u2019s Hospital.<\/p>\n

Dr. Hornstein\u2019s research interests are in the medical management of endometriosis as well as predictors of success and national trends in\u00a0in-vitro fertilization. He has served as Principal Investigator or Co-Principal Investigator for several studies on endometriosis and IVF. Certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, he is the author of more than 150 original reports, reviews, book chapters, and abstracts.\u00a0 In addition, he serves as an ad hoc reviewer for scientific publications, including the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Fertility and Sterility, and the New England Journal of Medicine.\u00a0 A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Dr. Hornstein is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, New England Fertility Society, and the Massachusetts Medical Society.\u00a0 He is the recipient of the Partners in Excellence Award, Mass General Brigham Pillars of Excellence Award, and the ASRM Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism in Medicine Award for Practicing Physicians and has been repeatedly named among the Top Doctors for Women in Boston Magazine.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>[vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Rochelle David, MD received her Bachelor of Science Degree with honors in 1997 and her MD in 2000 from the University of Florida. She completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2004 at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. She enjoyed a successful private practice career in Pensacola, Florida for many years before relocating to San Antonio. In 2011 Dr. David joined the faculty at UT Health San Antonio, Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine and currently serves as an associate professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has served as medical director of Women\u2019s Preventative Health and Ambulatory Services for University Health System as well as Medical Director of Women\u2019s Health and Ambulatory Services for UT Health San Antonio. She is currently the Ob\/Gyn Associate Residency Program Director as well as Co-director of the Ob\/Gyn Residency Mentorship Program and has been the recipient of several teaching awards.
\nDr. David recently joined the UT Teen Health program to further her interest in adolescent patient care. Dr. David is certified by The American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her interests include general obstetrics and gynecology, benign vulvar disease, adolescent gynecology, contraception, resident mentorship, and resident wellness.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]\"Dr.<\/p>\n

Dr. Porter was a member of the Honors College at the University of Houston, graduating in 2002 with a degree in Biology. She received her Masters Degree in Public Health from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2006.\u00a0 She then completed medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2013, followed by residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.\u00a0 She completed fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery in 2020 and returned to San Antonio to join the faculty at UT Health San Antonio. She is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her interests include minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, chronic pelvic pain, abnormal uterine bleeding, surgical simulation, and resident education.<\/p>\n

Dr. Page-Ramsey serves as the Program Director for the OB\/GYN Residency Training Program. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry, magna cum laude, at Clemson University in 1995, and her medical degree at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland in 1999.\u00a0 She completed her OB\/GYN residency training at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, where she adopted Texas as a second home. She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and is a retired U.S Air Force Lt Colonel.\u00a0 Dr. Page-Ramsey\u2019s career has focused on medical education; she is the founder of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) Annual Medical Student Workshops, serves on the ACOG Committee on Scientific Program, as an oral board examiner for the ABOG, and is also the Junior Fellow Advisor for ACOG District XI (Texas).\u00a0 She is a graduate of the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO) Academic Scholars and Leaders Program, and the ACOG Leadership Institute, and is the recipient of the ACOG Mentor of the Year Award, CREOG National Faculty Award, APGO Excellence in Teaching Award, and the ACOG Medical Student Recruitment Award.\u00a0 She enjoys all areas of women\u2019s healthcare, but has particular interest in abnormal menstrual bleeding, contraception, vulvar dermatoses, and gynecologic surgery.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text][\/vc_column_text]\n
