Xiangya Visiting Medical Student Luncheon

Since 2013, the LSOM Dean’s Office has welcomed 7 cohorts, a total of 94 students, to train alongside UTHSCSA medical and graduate students in research laboratories across campus. Our Xiangya visiting medical students have seen great success in the laboratory as evident by numerous scientific publications and presentations.

Kicked Off The Office for Research’s Grant Writing Development Program

The LSOM Early Career Grant Development Program is a four-month program designed to enhance the grantsmanship skills of junior clinical faculty with limited experience submitting grants and interested in pursuing extramurally funded research. Upon completion of the program, each participant will be expected to have a proposal suitable for submission to an extramural agency.

Long School of Medicine Research Symposium From Discovery to Translation

The Long School of Medicine Office for Research presented our annual research symposium on April 18th, 2022! During the symposium, the LSOM Dean’s Office hosted breakout sessions for roundtable discussions on diversity and inclusion, undergraduate and graduate medical education, multi-disciplinary research collaborations and global health challenges, and hosted a closing reception.
