Kate Lathrop, M.D.<\/h2>\n

Assistant Dean for Medical Student Research
\nJoe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine<\/h4>\n

Dr. Lathrop is a UT Health Medical Breast Oncologist. Her research interest is in early therapeutics for breast cancer, particularly triple negative breast cancer. She is the current fellowship director for the Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship and an assistant program director with a focus on scholarly activity for the Internal Medicine residency program. She also serves as the program director for the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/3″][vc_single_image image=”3776″ img_size=”300×300″][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”2\/3″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Chris Valdez, PhD<\/h2>\n

Associate Director of Research Operations

Dr. Valdez received his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Michigan and is a former Department of Defense principal investigator. As the Research Operations Manager, Dr. Valdez leverages his technical and administrative background to manage programs and services that support strategic research areas within the LSOM.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/3″][vc_single_image image=”5770″ img_size=”300×300″ css=””][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”2\/3″][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n

Jennifer received her Bachelor\u2019s degree from San Diego State University, and is a U.S. Navy Veteran who served during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
