Applying for Orthopaedic Residency

Residency Application Process

Our program participates in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP). Applications are accepted only through the Electronic Residency Application Services (ERAS). We do not accept applicants outside of the MATCH.

Number of positions available: 6

Application Deadline: November 1

Interview Dates: Invitations are sent out in early November. There are approximately 70 interview spots.
• December 5-6, 2019
• December 12-13, 2019
• January 9-10, 2020
• January 16-17, 2020

Application Requirements:

• Graduates of an LCME School:
_____ERAS Application
_____Minimum of three letters of recommendation*
• Graduates of an International Medical School:
_____ERAS Application
_____Minimum of three letters of recommendation*
_____ECFMG certification prior to appointment

* Use of the AOA standardized letter of recommendation is encouraged, but not required.

Interview Schedule:

Evening before (Thursday):
6:00 pm to 8:00 pm – Welcome Open House at a faculty member’s home

Interview day (Friday):
6:45 am Breakfast
7:00 am Program Director Welcome
7:30 am Interviews start
12:00 pm Lunch
1:00 pm Interview day ends
