Director, Finance & Administration

The position is responsible for the financial and administrative activities of the department under the authority of the Department Chair and the Vice Dean for Finance & Administration.  These activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Development and execution of strategic planning initiatives
  • Oversight of the business and administrative functions within the clinical (including revenue cycle), research (pre-award and post-award), education, contract, and human resource activities of the department.
  • Budget development, manage and monitor revenue and expenses, including execution of variance action plans.
  • Development and deployment of departmental managerial and financial reporting needs.
  • Oversee all faculty and staff related issues and transactions, including management staffing levels, compensation plans, recruitment, and onboarding.
  • Responsible for productivity and efficiency of business operations across all functions, including clinical operations.
  • Management of the department’s facilities and equipment, including maintenance, renovations, acquisitions, and allocation.
  • Provide administrative leadership in the formulation, interpretation and management of all policies, procedures, and programs, and oversees the department’s alignment to institutional policies.
