Rockwood Orthopedic Society<\/a><\/h2>\n

Rockwood Orthopedic Society serves to provide the University of Texas at San Antonio, UT San Antonio, students opportunities to learn about and experience the fields of orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. ROS members can engage in peer mentoring activities, shadowing opportunities, and more.<\/p>\n

American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons<\/a><\/h2>\n

The AAOS was founded in 1933 to serve as the primary governing body for orthopedic surgeons across the country. It serves as the preeminent provider of musculoskeletal education and offers medical student resources<\/a> for those interested in orthopedics.<\/p>\n

The Ruth Jackson Orthopedic Society<\/a><\/h2>\n

RJOS was created in 1983 as a support and networking group for women in orthopedics. RJOS offers mentoring, professional development, and educational opportunities for women at all stages of orthopedic training. They also offer a helpful Medical Student Guide to Orthopedic Surgery<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Nth Dimensions<\/a><\/h2>\n

Nth Dimensions was founded in 2004 by orthopedic surgeons working collaboratively with academic institutions, community surgeons, and industry to address the dearth of women and underrepresented minorities in orthopedic surgery. They provide resources, expertise, and experience through developing and implementing strategic pipeline initiatives, including several programs<\/a> for medical students interested in orthopedics.<\/p>\n

The Perry Initiative <\/a><\/h2>\n
