[vc_row][vc_column width=”2\/3″][vc_column_text]Our clinical rotation schedule ensures that all residents are exposed to a variety of orthopaedic subspecialties in a multitude of practice settings. Most rotations occur at the University Health System or the nearby VA and Methodist Hospitals. All additional rotations occur within an approximately 15 minute drive (or less) from the main hospital center. Across rotations, residents will be given progressive responsibility for the care of patients under the supervision of dedicated faculty. Wherever practical, care across the continuum will be emphasized.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Call Schedule<\/h2>\n

A unique aspect of our program is the dedicated Orthopaedic Trama call team, which is staffed by four Orthopaedic Traumatologists. Residents on the Trauma rotation handle all trauma call at University Health System hospital (Level 1 trauma center). VA Hospital call is handled by the VA team, as well as occasional home-call coverage on the weekends by residents on the Sports\/Hand rotations. Call obligations outside of trauma call typically become lighter as the resident progresses in their training.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/3″]
