Program Overview<\/h2>\n

The UT Health San Antonio Orthopaedic Research Fellowship is a one-year fellowship program for extraordinary medical students. Fellows will have the opportunity to participate in clinical research with the goal of accomplishing multiple authorships in peer-reviewed scientific journals.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

UT Health San Antonio Orthopaedic Research Fellowship Overview<\/h2>\n

The UT Health San Antonio Orthopaedic Research Fellowship is a one-year fellowship program for extraordinary medical students. Fellows will have the opportunity to participate in clinical research with the goal of accomplishing multiple authorships in peer-reviewed scientific journals. During this year, the fellows can also observe in the operating room and participate in resident conferences. Regarding eligibility, applicants should have completed their third year of medical school. We recommend that this fellowship should be completed between the third and fourth year of medical school. The student must be in excellent academic standing and have an interest in pursuing a career in orthopaedic surgery.<\/p>\n

Stipend and Benefits: The recipient of this award will receive a stipend of approximately $20,000 to cover living expenses for the year. Travel expenses for national meetings will be funded through the department.<\/p>\n
