Distal radius fractures are among the most common injuries treated by orthopedic surgeons, and achieving stable fixation while maintaining articular alignment is critical for optimal patient outcomes.<\/p>\n<p>The study provides important insight into the relationship between distal screw positioning and postoperative outcomes. Specifically, the authors found that placing the distal row of screws more than 3 mm from the subchondral bone was associated with increased odds of worsening ulnar variance following surgery.
