Russell is a Parent-Infant Advisor at Sunshine Cottage School for Deaf Children. She has an undergraduate degree in early childhood education and a graduate degree in Deaf Education and Hearing Science. Ms. Russell was certified as a Listening and Spoken Language Specialist (Cert. LSL AVEd.) in 2009. Since 2003, she has led a parenting class for parents of infants. Ms. Russell also leads study groups to assist colleagues in preparing for LSL certification.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Russell co-authored a section of 101 Frequently Asked Questions About Auditory-Verbal Practice. She recently published an article about the topic of dialogic reading. Ms. Russell has numerous national presentations regarding best practices in working with infants and parents.
