[vc_row][vc_column width=”2\/3″][vc_column_text css=””]Cytogenetics Laboratory<\/strong><\/a>:<\/strong> The UT Health Cytogenetics Laboratory is a state-of-the-art clinical facility that offers diagnostic testing services not only to UT Health Physicians but also to various other partners. Additionally, the laboratory provides research testing services to collaborators at the Mays Cancer Center, the Greehey Children\u2019s Cancer Research Institute, UT Health San Antonio, and various partners across the United States. The laboratory is committed to delivering high-quality service in both clinical and research arenas.<\/span><\/p>\n

Electron Microscopy<\/strong> Laboratory<\/strong><\/a>: <\/strong>A full service facility that provides technical and professional support for patient care and research studies that require transmission and scanning electron microscopy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fungus Testing Laboratory<\/strong><\/a>:<\/strong> Fungal identification, antifungal susceptibility testing of yeasts and moulds, measurement of levels of antifungal agents in biological tissues and fluids, molecular identification and strain relatedness studies, clinical trials, environmental sampling analysis, and drug discovery research.<\/span><\/p>\n

Flow Cytometry Laboratory<\/strong><\/a>: Immunophenotypic analysis by \u200bmultiparameter flow cytometry which is useful in the diagnosis\/classification of acute leukemia, non-Hodgkin\u2019s lymphoma and the detection of residual leukemia\/lymphoma following therapy. Also, panels for detection of Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria (PNH) clones and detection of hemoglobin F in feto-maternal hemorrhage are offered.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Histopathology Laboratory<\/strong><\/a>: <\/strong>Offers biopsy and consultation services for bone marrow, breast, gynecologic, liver, oral, prostate, renal, skin, and skeletal muscle services utilizing routine, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, in-situ hybridization, special stains, and muscle enzyme studies.<\/p>\n

Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory<\/strong><\/a>: <\/strong>Development and performance of molecular diagnostic tests for nucleic acid targets found in a variety of settings in medicine. The primary focus of the laboratory is hematopathology; a selection of genetic and infectious disease tests are also performed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Multispecialty & Research Hospital (MSRH):<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0The only University of Texas hospital in the region, ushering in a new era of hope and healing through advanced procedures and precision cancer therapies grounded in innovative research.<\/p>\n

Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Laboratory<\/strong><\/a>: <\/strong>We offer a comprehensive, computerized service that processes biopsy and cytology specimens from the oral cavity and head and neck region. The laboratory is staffed by two pathologist board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. We are also supported by a major health center with a large general and specialty surgical pathology faculty.<\/p>\n
