Neonatology Trainee Selected as Winner of Clinical Science Young Investigator Award

“I am proud to share the news of our very own Dr. Leslie-Anne Dietrich who was selected as the winner of the Clinical Science Young Investigator Award after a wonderful presentation at the plenary session at the Southern Society for Pediatric Research,” says Cynthia L. Blanco, Chief of Neonatology at UT Health.

“We had great representation by our trainees, “she says, including Rebecca Gardea (nursing student, finalist -Clinical Science Young Investigator), Callie Marshall (MS4- poster presentation),  Radhika Mohan (MS3- Travel Trainee Award, oral presentation), Jennifer Kim (MS3- oral presentation), Gabriel Castano (pediatric resident- Travel Trainee Award, poster presentation), Sara Zoretic (pediatric resident- oral presentation).

“I want to congratulate the mentors, research associates and faculty for preparing them so well and to the administrative personnel and clinicians that hold the fort to make this happen,” Dr. Blanco says.  “Special thanks to the clerkship, fellowship and residency program directors and our department chair, Dr. Steven Seidner, for protecting their time and supporting their research endeavors. Once again our trainees placed the name of UT Health San Antonio very high!”
