Dr. Suren Reddy is a board certified Pediatric and adult congenital interventional pediatric cardiologist. He received his MBBS in India and moved to Michigan where he completed his pediatric residency at Hurley/Michigan State University. He went on to complete his pediatric cardiology fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Michigan/Wayne State University and further interventional pediatric cardiology fellowship at Childrens/ UT Southwestern Medical Center Dallas. After completion, he stayed as Interventional cardiology faculty at UTSW Dallas. During his time, he has develop very unique and highly specialized multidisciplinary programs – some of which include the ICMR (Interventional cardiac MRI), Lymphatic occlusion Program, Fontan Single Ventricle Program, Premie duct occlusion program etc. He has trained 4th year pediatric interventional fellows for many years now. He was recently promoted to Full Professor in the Department of Pediatrics. His special interests are preclinical animal trials for development of a biodegradable stent for Children, lymphatic evaluation and interventions, radiation free cardiac catheterization in the MRI suite, Premie duct closure, interventions in Single ventricle pts and adults with CHD and transcatheter valve therapies.
