\nTo increase awareness and education for pediatric providers<\/p>\n

Hilda Loria, MD, MPH, FAAP<\/strong> is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics at UT-Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Loria currently serves as the Center Director for the Rees-Jones Center for Foster Care Excellence in Dallas, Texas. Her clinical and advocacy interests focus on the care of vulnerable child populations. She has a specific interest in the intersection of the immigration system and child welfare system.\u00a0 Dr. Loria completed medical school at Baylor College of Medicine, pediatrics residency at UT Health San Antonio, and an Academic General Pediatrics fellowship at UT Southwestern. She also has a Masters in Public Health from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston.\u00a0 Dr. Loria is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), Texas Pediatric Society, and the Academic Pediatric Association. She serves on the Executive Board of the Texas Pediatric Society and the Executive Committee of the Council on Early Childhood of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has received statewide recognition as the recipient of the 2018 Early Career Physician Award from the Texas Pediatric Society for her clinical and advocacy work in the care of immigrant children and children in foster care, and she was selected as a promising physician-leader for the 2019-2021 cohort of the AAP Young Physician Leadership Alliance.<\/p>\n
