\nNeonatal Kidney Function and Acute Kidney Injury<\/p>\n

Objectives:<\/strong>
\nTo increase awareness and education for pediatric providers<\/p>\n

Kim H. Piburn, DO<\/strong> is an assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Nephrology. She attended Rice University for her undergraduate education before heading to the University of North Texas Health Science Center\/Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school. She completed her pediatric residency at Driscoll Children\u2019s Hospital\/Texas A&M College of Medicine, followed by pediatric nephrology fellowship training at Stanford University. She then returned to Texas and joined the Division of Pediatric Nephrology at UT Health San Antonio in August 2022. Her research interests include improving clinical outcomes in the pediatric kidney transplant population. She currently serves as the division\u2019s site lead for the Pediatric Nephrology Research Consortium.<\/p>\n
