Overview:<\/strong>
\nThe Arc of Progress in Child Health Post-Pandemic Pediatrics<\/p>\n

Objectives:<\/strong>
\nTo increase awareness and education for pediatric providers<\/p>\n

Tina L. Cheng, MD, MPH<\/strong> is the B.K. Rachford Professor and Chair of Pediatrics, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Director of the Cincinnati Children\u2019s Research Foundation, and Chief Medical Officer at Cincinnati Children\u2019s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC).\u00a0 She was previously Chair of Pediatrics and Pediatrician-In-Chief at Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Cheng\u2019s clinical work, teaching, research, and advocacy focus on child, adolescent, and family perspectives on improving health, community-integrated models to interrupt the intergenerational cycle of disadvantage, and innovation to achieve excellent and equitable health outcomes. An author of over 200 publications, Cheng has been the principal investigator on numerous federal and foundation grants, including grants from the National Institute of Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Maternal and Child Health Bureau, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.\u00a0 An elected member of the National Academy of Medicine she also serves on the Forum for Children\u2019s Well-Being.\u00a0 She was on the National Academy of Science, Engineering and Medicine committee on \u201cAddressing the Long-Term Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Children and Families\u201d and is co-leading the study on \u201cImproving the Health and Wellbeing of Children and Youth through Health Care System Transformation.\u201d\u00a0 A past president of the Academic Pediatric Association (APA) and Chair of the AAP Committee on Pediatric Research, Cheng has held numerous leadership roles in organizations including the AAP, APA, Association of Medical School Pediatric Department Chairs, and Children\u2019s Hospital Association.\u00a0She has been recognized with the AAP Education Award, Job Lewis Smith Award for Community Pediatrics, and the APA Public Policy and Advocacy Award.<\/p>\n
