Throughout their clinical, research, and elective rotations, fellows will be supervised by individual faculty who will provide meaningful feedback after spending enough time with each fellow on that rotation. These didactics will be lead by senior faculty with a wide range of topics covered which will be essential to their scholarly work. These sessions will also help PHM fellows build a community with larger fellowship programs.<\/p>\n<p>Division-specific didactics will occur monthly at PHM division meetings and will focus specifically on hospital medicine topics.<\/p>\n<h4>Monthly Division Didactics<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Case Discussions to review interesting cases<\/li>\n<li>PHM Board Review<\/li>\n<li>Journal Club<\/li>\n<li>Review of new evidence-based guidelines<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Board Review<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>General Pediatrics Certifying Exam\n<ul>\n<li>Limited on-service time prior to exam to give ample study time<\/li>\n<li>Ability to join with other pediatric fellows for board review<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Pediatric Hospital Medicine\n<ul>\n<li>Monthly board review sessions with PHM faculty<\/li>\n<li>Annual in-training exam to monitor progress<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Teaching Opportunities<\/h4>\n<p>PHM fellows will have the opportunity to teach residents and medical students. On wards, much of the teaching will be on rounds and at the bedside.
