It is the first hospital in South Texas exclusively focused on the unique needs of women and children. This recently-constructed hospital features 12 stories and 300-beds for women, babies and children with additional shell space for future growth.<\/p>\n<p>Fellows will complete core and elective rotations here including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>General Inpatient Pediatrics<\/li>\n<li>Newborn Nursery\/Neonatology<\/li>\n<li>Pediatric Procedural Sedation Services<\/li>\n<li>Pediatric Subspecialty Rotations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stdavids.com\/locations\/st-davids-north-austin-medical-center\">St. David&#8217;s North Austin Medical Center<\/a> (Austin, Texas)<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-10546\" src=\"https:\/\/lsom.uthscsa.edu\/pediatrics\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/150\/2026\/06\/St-David-NAMC-550x323.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"323\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lsom.uthscsa.edu\/pediatrics\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/150\/2026\/06\/St-David-NAMC-550x323.png 550w, https:\/\/lsom.uthscsa.edu\/pediatrics\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/150\/2026\/06\/St-David-NAMC.png 719w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are happy to partner with St. David&#8217;s North Austin Medical Center, a community hospital with multiple pediatric services including emergency care, inpatient unit, and ICU. Fellows will gain experience managing patients outside of an academic setting and gain autonomy with a variety of day and night shifts. Fellows will spend a total of 4 weeks rotating at this community site.
