\nTo increase awareness and education for pediatric providers<\/p>\n

Dr. Dele Davies<\/strong> is Interim chancellor for the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Specialty trained in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, Canada, Dr. Davies currently consults in infectious diseases at Children\u2019s Nebraska. He is a member of the National Biodefense Science Board advisory to the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (Chair, Readiness and Resilience Working Group) and the AAP Council on Children and Disasters Board. Dr. Davies previously served on the Board of Scientific Counselors for the National Centers for Infectious Diseases, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the \u201cRed Book\u201d Committee on Infectious Diseases. He has over 230 peer reviewed publications. Dr. Davies received his MD from the University of Toronto, Canada and holds master\u2019s degrees in Community Health from the University of Toronto and health care management from the Harvard School of Public Health.<\/p>\n
