Heather Hunter is this year’s Debbie Canales Yrle Distinguished Service Award Recipient

Pharmacology’s own Heather Hunter was selected as this year’s Debbie Canales Yrle Distinguished Service Award recipient! Heather’s willingness to go above and beyond in support of the educational mission of the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and its programs shines through, even beyond the Pharmacology department.
The award will be presented during the convocation ceremony that begins at 4:00 pm on Friday, August 16th, in 3.102B lecture hall behind Starbucks. Come cheer on and celebrate Heather’s accomplishment! The Annual GSBS Picnic will follow at 5:00pm in the breezeway.
About The Debbie Canales Yrle Distinguished Service Endowment
The Debbie Canales Yrle Distinguished Service Endowment supports an outstanding staff member of the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. This endowment provides an annual award, The Debbie C. Yrle Distinguished Service Award, to honor and recognize a UT Health Science Center staff member who provides outstanding support to the education and research mission of the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.
The Deborah Canales Yrle Distinguished Service fund was established and contributed to by friends, family and colleagues. It has since been elevated to a permanent endowment by Dr. Bettie Sue Masters, in honor of her good friend and assistant.
