Personal Statement:

Utilizing a wide range of behavioral techniques and ex vivo assays my research focuses on understanding the role the peripheral opioid system to treat pain and improving cognition and vitality in the aged population.

Awards & Accomplishments

Received 3rd Post-doctoral prize at the 2018 Center for Biomedical Neuroscience retreat in San Antonio.
Received second prize for poster presentation at the6th Annual Faculty of Pain Meeting at the College of Anesthetists in Dublin.
Competitively selected to attend the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology Workshop for Young Scientists in Europe.
1st Prize and the Pain Research Medal at the Irish Pain Society 12th Annual Scientific Meeting, Galway.
I received second place in the Donegan oral presentation competition at Royal Academy of Medicines Ireland conference 2012.
