After obtaining their Ph.D., graduates typically obtain a position as a postdoctoral research fellow in an academic, industrial (e.g., biotech or pharmaceutical), or government research laboratory before pursuing their first independent professional position.<\/p>\n<p>Typical job outcomes for our graduates include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Research and\/or teaching faculty positions at a major university or medical school<\/li>\n<li>Research scientist in a biotech or pharmaceutical company<\/li>\n<li>Research scientist at a government or military research laboratory<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Analytical chemist<\/li>\n<li>Biomedical scientist<\/li>\n<li>Research scientist (life sciences)<\/li>\n<li>Research scientist (medical)<\/li>\n<li>Clinical research associate<\/li>\n<li>Healthcare scientist, clinical biochemistry<\/li>\n<li>Pharmacologist<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Scientific publishing and journalism<\/li>\n<li>Management and administration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The fields in both Physiology &amp; Pharmacology research is always growing.
