Every Tuesday from 12 to 5 pm is protected for didactics\u2014all residents are excused from clinical duties during this time. Residents are excused from clinical duties to participate.<\/p>\n<h2>Selective Seminar<\/h2>\n<p>Each year, our PGY2-4s enroll in a selective of their choosing for the month of August. Selectives include a PRITE review course, Mental Health Policy &amp; Advocacy in Action, Psychiatry in the Media, and READ (Resident Education by Article Discussion). This is a unique and integrative way to promote learning, leadership, and comradery in small groups. The selective seminar is well-received at the local and national level. Dr. Sara Noble, Dr. Jessica Sandoval, and Dr. Charles Mathias were awarded the 2022 American Association of Directors of Psychiatric Residency Training (AADPRT) Poster of the Year for their work in creating the Mental Health Policy &amp; Advocacy in Action Selective!<\/p>\n<h2>Other Optional Educational Opportunities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Resident-led journal club\u2014every 2
